Loving, Relating, and Encouraging (L.R.E.)
Loving, Relating, and Encouraging (L.R.E.) is a ministry of reaching out with the love of Jesus Christ in friendship to minister to others. "Daytime LRE" is specifically designed to minister to those who are able to be visited during the day. This ministry is intended to minister to our own congregation initially, and then in time to reach out beyond our congregation to others in the community. The target ministry group for LRE daytime would be shut-ins/homebound persons, nursing home residents, those recovering from illnesses or hospital procedures at home, those who are hospitalized, worship visitors who are available during the day, and any other who have special needs. A weekly meeting will be scheduled during which those who are part of the ministry will gather together, go out and make visits, and then return for a lunch and sharing the results of the visits. Anyone who is available during the day is welcome to be a part of this training and ministry. The training will take place at St. John UMC on April 21-22 from 10:00am till 3:00pm.
